Digital Trade Compliance Analyst vacancy for our Basel based client in the Chemical and Manufacturing sector.

Your tasks:

• Support HS classification management of chemical products
• Assist with Controlled Substance management
• Utilise internal databases and IT tools to analyse data and create reports
• Support the implementation of digital trade compliance tools, automation, and artificial intelligence
• Interact with different geographical and cross-functional teams
• Support internal projects

Your experience/knowledge:

• Knowledge of chemical structures and chemical nomenclature (e.g., Bachelor’s in chemistry) is essential
• Experience in agrochemical, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry
• Proficiency in Excel and database management
• Language skills: English
• German language skills are very welcome
• Understanding of World Customs Organization’s classification principles (HS/HTS system)
• Basic programming skills and ability to develop basic scripts and automation tools to streamline compliance processes
